In audacity i amplified, phase shifted and time stretched it a little. I wanted an all round strange ambience sound. Made a 12s loop. This sound will be used and recognizable in the forthcoming three dare submissions from me.

This wa maybe my first attempt at doing something that i would describe as steve reich-y (not knowing very much about steve reich) which is a method i got slightly obsessed with. Basically (for me) it was creating a short measure for a few instruments (apso uploaded here) but then layering them, slightly and increasingly out of time, so that they go out of phase and create a huge trippy musical canvas that you couldn't have predicted from the opening measure (well i couldn't, but i know nothing about music).

Sci-fi laser sword sound effects that i created. I created these sounds, using some creative commons 0 sound effects that i got from freesound. Org, and mixing them with some of my own recorded sound effects. To record the hissing sound that i added in the sound effect, i ran the bottom of a cooking pan under some water, and then placed it on a hot stove. The water hissed as soon as it hit the hot stove top, making the hissing sound. Hope you enjoy the sound effects!.

Sitting on an outdoor paris cafe terrace some buskers started up across the road. The wind cooperated and i got this nice blend of chatting cafe sounds, passers by walking on the sidewalk, vehicles and a little of the popular desmond/brubek number 'take five' in the background. A very pleasant beer that was.

I played with my dog's tags on it's collar and got this nice sound from it. Sounds similar to rustling keys or coins. Recorded on a samsung galaxy s20 5g with easy voice recorder (app for android, available on google play).

Mixed voices chattering in the cavernous open lobby of a multifloor medical building. One woman coughs repeatedly. Later a man laughs. Towards the end a door clicks open. Please enjoy this sample -- i got sick with a cold from recording it (probably thanks to the coughing lady).

This is my voice of frustration. I recorded this by an accident, i got angry in the middle of recording something else. Authentic - no acting. "kurwa" is a polish word as popular and as meaningful as english "fuck". It is also (sadly) the most well-known polish word among other nations. *warning* --- you may want to turn your volume down*this was accidently created when i was goofing around trying to convert an iso file. It was actually for the movie "a beautiful mind". When the conversion started i wanted to see what it looked like so far and this is what i got out of it. I didn't want to delete it because it sounded so cool. . . . Almost like what a computer world might sound like or "a computer's brain". But anyways i figured maybe someone else might want a sound like this too. I might use it someday myself.

Recorded in a subway station, with an iphone 6, 10 ft away. This guy plays at various stations, namely bedford ave and union square (nyc). He's got a very lively playing style and is always a joy to listen to. I want to get better recording equipment for next time.

This was a happy accient. I was charging a drone battery though an adapter with overvoltage protection, which started beeping and increasing in frequency as the battery got close to full charge. There is a good bit of sound at the end, when i pulled off the battery and the capacitors in the charger discharged. :). Have fun with it! if you want, let me know what you did with it. Cheers!. I like the first cup of coffee from a good coffee maker. Inevitably though, it gets left on, and then to me it is undrinkable. Overcooked. Terrible. The waste is unacceptable to me. So, we can agree on that, and my partner was about to make a cup for himself. I got it all, jar lids, spooning, stirring with a spoon in a ceramic cup, adding sugar and milk. The last soft thud is the fridge door closing.

Any thursday. . . It was about 1:00 am and i got my handy recorder zoom h4n with me. Then i realized i found very few sounds here at freesound. Org of steps for videogames. . . So i decided to record some. They have "so much personality", with keys in the pockets (you can notice them on the run), a dog barking when i run, and the sound of the street at night. It may not be 100% clean (for example, wind affects a little to the beggining of the run), but i think it's enough to emulate a videogame in a short film or something. I turn around once when dog is barking, you can notice the bark panning from left to right channel.

I got on a cable car to the top of mt. Hakodate. My edirol r-09 happened to catch the sigh of a young woman next to me saying 'kirei' over the outspread night view of the town. It means 'how beautiful,' 'c'est magnifique,' or something like that. Recorded on 17 feb, 2008 with built-in mics.

This is the new talking traffic signal in town. I got the idea to speed it up from listening to some radio commercials where the person talks a mile a minute to cram as many words into the commercial as possible. They really are damned annoying when they do it, but i get a laugh out of my version. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak with one track duplication and edited in sony vegas. I got caught in a freak rainstorm whilst hiking a bit ago, but luckily had packed my h6 in my bag and was able to get some good little rain snippets! there's some super close sounding droplets hitting leaves, some wider pouring rain, and a bit of hand-held noise unfortunately, but i figured there's a little something for everyone here!. Recorded on zoom h6n with xy 120 degree pair.

I don't often go for fast food, but my bf thinks it's great. So; the counter girl looks exceedingly odd, as in pink hair, hook nose, wild eyes, no boobs, etc, and he orders what he wants with something at least close to this sound. She smiles and nods. He claims he got what he wanted. . . A big mac, no pickle. I asked him to repeat his order for my recorder. Three times. He did. All three were identical. It's possible he knew her and it's an inside joke. Or, maybe what he got was the default when they can't understand you. He is a linguist, which does not prove he spoke a real language. He also looks a little strange which does not add up to proof he's a venusian. That's what he said it was, and i couldn't stop laughing. It does prove he's entertaining, and he's pretty weird.

We went to strasbourg to follow an invitation by an photographer to his vernissage! to bad that we got stucked into the traffic jam and arrived while the gallery was already closed! that was really a bummer because the drive took us four hours!lucky that i had my zoom h6 because strasbourg is by far an amazing city with so many street life. It is insane how many little streets with these tiny cafes and all the people around! it is like a magnet and you got sucked in. The french people know how to live life and i recorded in 3 parts of the city to give you a nice ambience feeling. This is part 1.

Any thursday, 12:00 am more or less. I was sitting down in a bench, looking to the buildings opposite me, with the road at my back. My handy recorder zoom h4n in my hands. Some people was chatting next to a car and then they got inside and they left (you can hear that on the left channel. Got it? "left" channel :d). You can hear people passing from one channel to another, cars and motorbikes. It was in c/ bravo murillo (madrid, spain). In that part, it is a one way street for vehicles, so all of them go from right to left channel.

Shell casings being dropped onto a tiled floor. I got some shell casings from a local shooting range and recorded the sound of various sized casings bouncing on a tiled floor. I used a usb condenser mic (samson co1u pro) with audacity. The section of floor i dropped the shells onto was surrounded by acoustic panels to dampen the echos. A couple times the casing bounced into the mic stand, but i've left them in because they're still useful. There was some background noise caused by my computer which i removed with audacity.

Ever heard of that creepypasta about boothworld industries? well, i had called the number out of curiosity and got an automated message from said "industry. " hours later, i received a call back from a live person. I tried to record the call but wasn't quick enough. These are my sounds of disbelief, terror, and excitement immediately after the call. I took out any specific mentions so that this can be used for any type of horrified reactions. And in case you're wondering, everything is okay. It's a loooooooong story.

I've had this saved for a while, and haven't really done anything with it (yet). How it was made: i took an old music box i got for christmas a few years ago, recorded it (obviously), slowed it down a little bit (it originally plays in g, now it plays in g-flat), and added reverb. The reverb plugin i use is called ambience. (it's really frickin' good. ).

A patch generating triggers not that random. . . The triggers are triggering an envelope generator and a sample and hold. The sample and hold cv is quantized following a minor 7th chord rules. Hope you understand. . . Pardon my english. Why this. Answer. I have to start adding something like this to my patches. But i use 3 lfos for this :-/ thats about all i got - right now.
